Yonyou MEA today announced the signing of a strategic agreement with Orion Solar (FZC) LLC to deliver a comprehensive HR digitalisation platform. The partnership marks a key milestone in Yonyou MEA’s continued expansion across the Middle East’s rapidly growing clean energy and advanced manufacturing sectors.

Project Overview
Orion Solar, located in Oman’s Sohar Free Zone, has selected Yonyou MEA to design and implement a fully integrated human resources management system to support its expanding workforce operations.
The project will adopt a hybrid deployment model, combining on-premise infrastructure for core HR functions with a cloud-based recruitment platform, ensuring both operational control and scalability.
Designed to support a workforce of approximately 1,500 employees, the platform will encompass the full HR lifecycle, including:
- Organisation & Workforce Planning
- Localised Payroll & Attendance (Oman-compliant)
- Cloud-based Recruitment
- Learning, Training & Performance Management
- Employee Visa & Mobility Management
- Arabic Interface & Bilingual User Experience
- Integration Bus (YSB) & Talent Development Modules
Localisation as a Strategic Priority
A core strength of this collaboration lies in its deep localisation capabilities. The solution is fully aligned with Oman’s regulatory framework, incorporating country-specific payroll and leave policies, end-to-end visa workflow management, and comprehensive Arabic language support across all modules.
This approach underscores Yonyou MEA’s commitment to delivering solutions that are built for the region — not merely adapted from global templates, but designed to meet the real operational and regulatory needs of Middle Eastern and African enterprises.

Sohar Free Zone: A Rising Clean Energy Hub
Orion Solar operates within the Sohar Free Zone, one of Oman’s most strategically important industrial hubs. Spanning approximately 45 square kilometres, the zone offers direct port connectivity to key markets across the Middle East, the Indian Ocean, and East Africa.
The zone has rapidly emerged as a major destination for solar manufacturing investment, with announced capacities reaching up to 6GW of solar cells and 3GW of solar modules annually — signalling the accelerated development of a regional clean energy manufacturing ecosystem.
Strengthening Yonyou MEA’s Regional Footprint
This agreement further reinforces Yonyou MEA’s differentiated value proposition in the region — combining local expertise, in-country delivery capabilities, and long-term service commitment. These factors are critical for enterprises navigating the regulatory, linguistic, and operational complexities of the Middle East and Africa.
“This partnership reflects the growing trust that leading enterprises in Oman’s new energy sector place in Yonyou’s localised digital solutions,” said Robert Guan, General Manager of Yonyou MEA. “We are proud to support Orion Solar in advancing its workforce management capabilities and to contribute to Oman’s broader digital transformation journey.”
Yonyou MEA will continue to drive its regional strategy through deep product localisation, industry-focused solutions, and platform-driven innovation, supporting enterprises across the Middle East and Africa in their digital transformation journeys.
