From August 6–8, 2026, Yonyou hosted the 2026 Global Business Innovation Conference (GBIC 2026) in Nanjing under the theme “Master AI, Drive Growth.” The event brought together nearly 10,000 business leaders, industry executives, academics, and media representatives from China and around the world to explore global business transformation trends driven by the AI revolution. GBIC has become the largest and most influential professional event in the Asia-Pacific region for enterprise digital intelligence.

At the conference, Yonyou officially announced a strategic evolution — from Enterprise Software to Enterprise AI — unveiling a three-pillar product and service portfolio: Enterprise AI Software (YonBIP 6) , Enterprise AI Software-Hardware Integrated Solutions (Enterprise AI Box) , , 和 Enterprise AI Business Operations Services (AI BaaS) . As the core Enterprise AI software offering, YonBIP 6 marks a strategic upgrade from “X+AI” to “AI+X,” embedding AI agent capabilities deeply into business processes and management scenarios.

Yonyou MEA Takes Center Stage with Middle East Insights

As a key part of Yonyou’s global strategy, Yonyou MEA participated actively in the conference, bringing customer practices and industry insights from the Middle East and Africa. Saleem Bou Hatoum Hamade, Brand Strategy Consultant at Capstone, was invited to deliver a keynote speech on “AI-Driven Retail Growth in the Middle East.” He systematically analyzed the ambition vs. readiness gap in the GCC region — revealing that while 80% of GCC organizations have an AI strategy in place, only 34% have the right data foundation to support it, and fewer than one in three are truly ready to scale AI enterprise-wide.

Saleem highlighted that retail is where AI value creation is most evident in the GCC, with significant impact across four dimensions: marketing automation, demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and AI-assisted decision-making. He emphasized that “trusted data is the true competitive advantage for enterprise AI” — success in enterprise AI depends not on buying the newest algorithm, but on fixing the data foundation.

WestLake’s Digital Transformation Journey: A Real-World Case Study

Mr. Yao Shaoteng, Vice President and CIO of WestLake Group, was invited to share WestLake’s hands-on experience in digital transformation with Yonyou.

Mr. Yao noted that WestLake’s growth is fundamentally a global management challenge — with operations spanning multiple product categories and expanding across the Middle East and Africa, including direct-owned stores, franchise stores, and various online and offline channels. Global expansion does not simply bring scale; it brings a leap in management complexity — with five layers of complexity simultaneously amplified: differing tax environments across countries, multiple legal entities and accounting books, multiple channels and systems, cross-regional organizational and workforce management, and financial and approval processes.

Leveraging the Yonyou BIP unified digital backbone, WestLake has achieved three core outcomes:

  1. A Unified Digital Backbone — Countries, brands, entities, departments, and stores now share the same organizational, process, and data language.
  2. Closed-Loop Financial Processes — Connections between expenses, payables, payments, vouchers, treasury, and reporting are now clearer, transitioning from fragmented manual work to fully automated workflows.
  3. Enhanced Employee Experience and Organizational Governance — Employees can handle tasks online, managers can approve and track online, and permissions, processes, and organizational data are now systematically consolidated as digital assets.

Mr. Yao concluded: “Global expansion does not simply mean growth in scale — it represents a leap in management complexity. The value of digital transformation lies in turning that complexity into a replicable, governable, and continuously iterable organizational capability.”
